FORMULA 1 BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX
First-ever race to be held in the Middle East and at the heart of a desert, the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix has flourished from its unconventionalities since its first edition in 2004. With several modifications to the circuit, a political crisis in 2010 and a controversial alcohol-free substitute to champagne during the podium ceremony,
the Bahrain Grand Prix endured an awkward start to Formula 1 but is now slowly establishing itself as a regular venue. In 2014, for the first time in its history, the race was held by night, emulating the success of Singapore and Abu Dhabi.
